SECURING POSITIVE CHANGE IN INTERNATIONAL URBAN POVERTY REDUCTION POLICIES:
Is international action changing urban poverty on the ground or not?

HOW TO GET THERE:
The Workshop will take place at the School of the Built Environment, Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh. The rooms where the workshop will take place will be signposted from the entrances to the School of the Built Environment’s two buildings: Sir William Arrol and Sir Edwin Chadwick.

Heriot-Watt University’s Edinburgh campus is in the city’s Greenbelt, to the west of the city and close to Edinburgh Airport. For location maps showing where the campus is go to http://www.hw.ac.uk/maps/edinburgh-road.pdf. For a map showing the location of the School of the Built Environment within the campus go to http://www.hw.ac.uk/maps/detailed-campus-map.pdf - the School is located in Buildings 9 & 10.

For directions to get to Edinburgh and for local travel and public transport information to reach the campus go to http://www.hw.ac.uk/welcome/directions.htm. This webpage provides comprehensive travel information, but you may also find the following website useful if you are coming by air and you are looking for a low-cost flight: http://www.flycheapo.com/flights/edinburgh

ACCOMMODATION:
Heriot-Watt University’s Edinburgh Conference Centre offers accommodation on campus at reasonable prices. For information on this go to http://www.edinburgh-conference.com/stay/information_for_guests

If you wish to find accommodation in the city rather than on campus you may find the following website useful: http://www.edinburgh.org/accom/. If you intend to use public transport to reach the campus from your accommodation, it would be advisable to stay somewhere near the routes of local buses number 25, 34 or 45.
