Transport

If you are flying from abroad, you will probably arrive either at Heathrow or Gatwick airports. Do make sure that you have your full documentation available when you land - your passport with visa (if applicable), your health clearance and your letter of acceptance from UCL.

There are various options for travel into central London from Heathrow. The Underground transport system will take you into central London from Heathrow airport for less than five pounds sterling. Alternatively the Heathrow Express operates fast trains from Heathrow to London Paddington and the journey time is 15 minutes. For all travel options into central London, including buses, consult www.heathrowairport.com.

From Gatwick airport there are regular trains to Victoria and Kings Cross Thameslink stations in Central London. Once in the centre, you can catch public transport (buses or 'Underground') or a taxi to your destination. Taxis from the airport into Central London are expensive (upwards of 50 pounds sterling).
